There are three degree programs:

In addition to the three degree programs, CWTS offers two non-degree programs:

Applicants for all degree programs and the diploma program should hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited university, college or Bible college, or its academic equivalent.

Persons desiring to audit are required to secure the permission of the Registrar.

The Extension Certificate programs, in Mandarin and Cantonese, are offered for lay leaders with classes held in centrally located churches in the Bay Area.

Program Outlines

Master of Divinity (M. Div.) (3 years, 90 semester units)
The objective of this program is to provide fundamental and comprehensive training for those who are preparing for full-time Christian ministry, especially the pastoral ministry. Biblical studies, including Greek and Hebrew, theological studies, and practical and ministerial skills, such as preaching, counseling and church leadership, constitute the core of the program. Students without prior seminary training should consider taking the M. Div. Program. Students are required to participate in the spiritual exercises provided by the seminary, and to fulfill a minimum of a one-year residence and a 2-year field education requirement before graduation.

Master of Biblical Studies (M.B.S.) (2 years, 64 semester units)
The objective of this program is to provide fundamental training for those who are preparing for full-time or part-time ministry. It is not as comprehensive as the M.Div. program, but focuses on biblical studies, including Greek and Hebrew. Students are required to participate in the spiritual exercises provided by the seminary, and to fulfill a one-year field education requirement before graduation.

Master of Christian Ministry (M.C.M.) (2 years, 64 semester units)
The objective of this program is to provide fundamental training for those who are preparing for full-time or part-time ministry. It is not as comprehensive as the M. Div. program, but focuses on practical and Biblical courses. Students are required to participate in the spiritual exercises provided by the seminary, and to fulfill a one-year field education requirement before graduation.

Diploma of Christian Studies (full-time or part-time, 32 semester units)
The objective of this program is to provide fundamental training for those who are preparing for the Christian ministry, but who cannot take a full-time degree program. This program can be completed in one year if taken full-time. Students are awarded a diploma upon successfully completing the program of 32 semester units. All 32 credits are transferable to any one of the degree programs of the seminary.

Certificate of Christian Studies (1 year, 30 semester units)
This program is for Christian workers or lay leaders who would like to serve more effectively. Those who have successfully completed the program of 30 semester units will be awarded a certificate.
