Library
The CWTS library has a floor space of about 3,500 square feet. There are stack rooms for both Chinese and English books, computer room, study and reference room. The library uses an automation system and our books are catalogued according to the Library of Congress classification system.
Beginning in 2001, circulation was computerized, and the library catalog is accessible on the seminary network for all faculty, staff and students.
We have about 20,000 volumes of Chinese and English books, as well as a good collection of academic journals, magazines and major biblical and theological software. We are in the process of increasing our library collection with a special project to acquire more multi-media learning tools such as video-audio tapes and CD-ROMs. The vast resources of the Graduate Theological Union Library, which is on the nearby campus of U. C. Berkeley, are accessible through a small membership fee.
