Location

To be closer to cities with bigger Chinese populations and to operate in our own campus, in early 2010 CWTS moved to San Jose, California. In this newly campus, a spacious air-conditioned building, with 19,496 sq. ft. of floor space, houses our administrative and faculty offices, classrooms, chapel, library and student center. Our student dormitory of 4 apartment units is about 7 minutes’ drive away in nearby Santa Clara.

Our main campus is readily accessible by car, being close to the Montague Expressway exit of Highway I-880 and Hostetter exit of I-680. It takes about 40 minutes to drive to San Francisco International Airport and 10 minutes to San Jose Airport. The closest BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) station (Fremont) is about 20 minutes’ drive away.

Library

The CWTS library has a floor space of about 3,500 square feet. There are stack rooms for both Chinese and English books, computer room, study and reference room. The library uses an automation system and our books are catalogued according to the Library of Congress classification system.

Beginning in 2001, circulation was computerized, and the library catalog is accessible on the seminary network for all faculty, staff and students.

We have about 30,000 volumes of Chinese and English books, as well as a good collection of academic journals, magazines and major biblical and theological software. We are in the process of increasing our library collection with a special project to acquire more multi-media learning tools such as video-audio tapes and CD-ROMs.
